iKOMG OU and Spalk have partnered to integrate their media distribution and remote commentary products.

Remaining operationally independent, Spalk’s Virtual Commentary Studio, which powers both world feed and multilingual commentary through both remote and AI workflows, will now operate seamlessly with iKOMG OU’s expansive global media distribution system.

iKOMG OU will also integrate Spalk’s platform as its official remote commentary solution partner across its slate of international sports events.

Kristjan Habjanic, senior director, OU global presale & operations at iKOMG OU, said: “At iKOMG OU, we work with some of the biggest sports broadcasters globally delivering their content to audiences with precision and reliability. To uphold that standard, we form partnerships rooted on trust, innovation, and a shared goal of making sports commentary and delivery faster, easier, cost effective and more connected.

Our collaboration with Spalk delivers exactly that. Spalk’s platform gives our clients the freedom and flexibility that perfectly align with iKOMG OU’s operational excellence. It is a natural step forward in providing smarter solutions for modern sports broadcasting,”

Spalk chief commercial officer Tom Read added: “Our collaboration with iKOMG OU represents an important step forward in delivering flexible, scalable and connected workflows for our partners across the global sports broadcast industry. By integrating Spalk’s Virtual Commentary Studio with iKOMG OU’s satellite uplink and fibre infrastructure, we’re creating a seamless bridge between IP and satellite distribution that enables rights holders, broadcasters and production companies to deliver high-quality, localized live content more efficiently than ever before.”
