A multi-year partnership between RaceTech and BMC TV has delivered 10G broadcast connectivity for Ascot Racecourse, unlocking 20 additional feeds

RaceTech, the technical facilities provider for British horse racing, along with live event connectivity specialist BMC TV, have added scalable broadcast connectivity to Ascot Racecourse.
The services went live in October and provide Ascot with diverse 10G connectivity between Ascot Racecourse and RaceTech’s Media Centre at Raynes Park.
The connectivity supports high-quality, low-latency contribution and distribution of Ascot’s racing output throughout the year.
It makes it possible for an additional 20 feeds to be available at the RaceTech Media Centre, providing enhanced production flexibility and onward distribution to domestic and international media partners via the BMC TV LMX network.
The platform has been designed to meet Ascot’s current broadcast requirements while providing significant capacity and flexibility for future expansion, including additional distribution and evolving remote and centralised production workflows.
The multi-year partnership further strengthens BMC TV and RaceTech’s growing presence across UK horse racing and greyhound racing, combining RaceTech’s racing production expertise with BMC TV’s specialist broadcast connectivity and global distribution capabilities.
David Meynell, CEO of BMC TV, said: “We are delighted to have been selected by Ascot, alongside our racing partners RaceTech, to deliver connectivity services for one of the most iconic racecourses in the world.
“With the new services now live, Ascot has a highly resilient, scalable and future-ready platform with significant capacity for both domestic and international distribution. The availability of additional JPEG-XS feeds at RaceTech’s MCR, combined with the reach of the BMC TV LMX network, creates a powerful foundation for Ascot and its broadcast and media partners.
“This is another important step in BMC TV’s continued expansion across UK horse and greyhound racing, and we are very pleased to be working with RaceTech and Ascot on a long-term basis.”
John Bozza, CEO of RaceTech, added: “RaceTech is delighted to announce another contract win alongside our connectivity partners BMC TV. Ascot is one of the most prestigious and technically demanding racing venues in the world, and this multi-year agreement reflects our shared commitment to delivering robust, high-quality and future-ready broadcast services.
“By combining RaceTech’s production infrastructure and experience with BMC TV’s connectivity expertise, we have created a platform that supports Ascot’s requirements today while providing the flexibility for further growth and innovation in the years ahead.”
Graham Badger, head of media and broadcast at Ascot Racecourse, said: “Ascot is delighted to be working with BMC TV and RaceTech on this new multi-year connectivity agreement. With the new services now operational, the enhanced resilience, capacity and scalability will support our broadcast operations across the racing calendar while providing increased flexibility for both our domestic and international media partners.
“The combination of RaceTech’s racing expertise and BMC TV’s global connectivity capabilities provides us with a strong and future-ready platform that can support the continued development and international reach of Ascot’s broadcast offering. We look forward to working closely with both organisations throughout the partnership.”
