ES Broadcast Hire founder and managing director Warren Taggart will continue to lead the business after it was acquired by investment firm Rcapital
Investment company Rcapital has acquired ES Broadcast Hire Limited from ES Media Group Limited.
Rcapital described the process of acquiring ES Broadcast Hire as a “complex carve-out” from its parent group.
The business is now an independent facility, backed by Rcapital to support its next phase of growth. It will be run by Warren Taggart, who remains as managing director at ES Broadcast Hire, which he originally founded 14 years ago.
Chris Eyles, Group COO at ES Broadcast and former operations director at ES Broadcast Hire, will also remain on the management team of the newly acquired company.
Taggart said: “We are delighted with the investment from Rcapital. There are huge opportunities to scale the business, with focused investment. We are excited to have found a partner who have demonstrated a deep understanding of our business and clear alignment on strategy”.

ES Broadcast Hire is headquartered in Watford and operates globally with offices in Florida, USA and Spain.
In May, Broadcast Tech broke the news that ES Broadcast, ES Broadcast Hire and ES Broadcast Systems Integration were all planning to appoint administrators. At the time, the companies were all part of the ES Media Group.
