Hughes had been senior brand and content marketing manager at Pinewood Group
Manchester-based Space Studios has hired Cheryl Hughes as its brand and marketing manager.
Hughes joins the facility from The Pinewood Group, where she had been senior brand and content manager across its Pinewood, Shepperton and Toronto studios. She has over 15 years experience in brand and marketing, previously outside of film and TV for the likes of Global, RNID and AO.
Rob Page, managing direcor of Space Studios, said: “Welcoming Cheryl into the role of brand & marketing manager, marks an important step in Space Studios’s evolution. Her expertise will help shape Space for the future and really put us on the map as the go-to destination for filming in the north-west of England.”
Hughes added: “I’m excited to be back in Manchester to help raise the profile of Space Studios and the whole north-west region as a first-class filming destination here in the UK. Many US and international clients have already enjoyed the northern hospitality and solid film and TV infrastructure we have to offer and I look forward to building on that.”
Space Studios has six sound stages totalling 85,000 sq ft of production space. It has recently hosted the likes of House of Guinness for Netflix and The Talamasca for AMC. Other notable productions have included Peaky Blinders, Boiling Point, Brassic and Daddy Issues.
