Molinare hires Metcalfe

Molinare has appointed Laura Metcalfe as a producer. Metcalfe most recently worked at Rocket, having also been employed by M2 and Ascent Media. Her credits include project-managing pictures for Lark Rise To Candleford for the BBC and Occupation for Kudos.

Arena grabs PL contract

Arena Television will supply outside broadcast facilities to Premier League Productions for its foreign broadcaster feeds of larger Premier League football matches. The contract will be serviced using Arena’s small OB12 scanner. The contract was previously held by SIS LIVE.

Rushes takes on Limata

Rushes has added Frankie Limata as a senior producer. He was most recently at Unit Post Production having previously worked for the Moving Picture Company and Glassworks.

Red Bee boosts playout

Red Bee Media has added Publi-Tronic’s Nexus playout servers and Cobalt automation software to its White City broadcast centre. It will be used for the automated European playout of BBC HD, the commercial HD service from BBC Worldwide Channels. The Nexus is integrated with scheduling system Zeus, from Phoenix 7.
