The organisers of Digital Media World (DMW) and recently launched rival Digital Arts Festival have called a truce by forming a joint-venture to run a single event. The combined event, known as Digital Arts World, will be held at Olympia in October and will feature elements from both festivals. Organisers Advanstar and Future Publishing had been in talks for several months but last month Future struck out alone (Broadcast, 7.6.02). However, market pressure has forced the two to co-operate.
