Nine former Mill Film employees, including former managing director Anthony Hunt, have joined rival effects house Cinesite Europe. Also among the recruits is Jose Granell, previously director of miniature effects, now visual effects supervisor/director of models. The new recruits were among staff left without jobs when Mill Film closed for business last November (Broadcast, 22.11.02).Hunt commented: 'Cinesite is more of a film company than a commercials company like The Mill, and Kodak (which owns the company) is synonymous with film - it's a good mix.' He adds that work on a variety of film projects including Tomb Raider 2, Eleanor Enchanted, as well as Troy and heavy bidding on Harry Potter 3, all point to a healthy year ahead in the film market.
