Brief Design a brand for a new series of reports about the world’s emerging Silicon Valleys, presented by BBC North America technology correspondent Richard Taylor.

How it was done The titles refl ect the technological and entrepreneurial aspects of the areas that are investigated during the series, which examines the up-and-coming technology incubation hubs of the world.

Designer Geoff Drake used Cinema 4D to create BBC News branding for the programmes.

The titles are built around the concept of exploring the streets of a city landscape made up of circuit board-style components, while the end frame in the sequence reveals a tree-like structure, refl ecting growth, knowledge and a modern environment.
