London post-production company The Station has added a purpose-built Final Cut Pro suite to its Bloomsbury Street facility.

The new set-up, which also includes Soundtrack Pro, Color grading and Autodesk Combustion software, will be used for broadcast SD and HD SDI non-linear editing and finishing.

It will work alongside the facility’s existing Avid Adrenaline, Symphony Nitris HD, DS Nitris and Symphony SD suites.

“This was a logical progression for us and has been very much led by changes in our clientís work patterns,” said Station facility manager Jenny Field.

“The suite gives us the ability to edit everything from web sized clips up to HD and to mix and match a wide range of formats and even frame rates in the open format Timeline. And with media stored on our secure 5tb of RAID5 discs, our suite can support up to 2K resolution.”

The suite is being made available for both dry-hire and staffed bookings. It will be driven by senior editor Todd Dalton.

The first project to go through the suite is a music promo for the band Tender Trap.
