Leeds-based design agency The Works has recruited a new head of 3D.

Andy Dawson, who specialises in character creation, motion graphics and VFX, joins The Works from design and animation company Fall off the Wall.

Along with former Sumners general manager Paul Peppiate, who joined the company last year in a business development role and motion director James Brunger, Dawson will help grow the company’s presence in the broadcast market.

Peppiate said: “[The Works] has grown into one of the top 10 sports branding agencies in world, and there has been growing demand for our video and motion graphics work.”

The Works credits include titles, graphics and VFX for True North’s Bloody Tales of Europe.
