Thomson has been selected by Swiss-based HBS (Host Broadcast Services), host broadcaster of the 2006 Fifa World Cup, to provide HDTV OB vans for its coverage of

the tournament in Germany. Thomson will fit out as many as seven mobile trucks with Grass Valley products to support both SD and HD broadcasting. These products include cameras, switchers, servers, routers and modular products.
