Video processing equipment maker TV One has hired a team of research and development engineers.

The new team, which is in addition to the R&D unit at TV One’s Margate office, will be located at the company’s Maidenhead base.

A TV One spokeswoman said the appointments were made in response to an increase in work following last month’s merger of TV One with signal switching and distribution firm Magenta Research.

The Maidenhead team will be led by Neil Baptiste, who has joined TV One as R&D test team leader.

He most recently worked for clients of Farncombe Technology, including Freesat and the BBC. Prior to that, he was employed by Pinewood Studios and BT as a software test engineer.

The three additional hires include Uma Mathapati, who worked in Aricent Group’s Managed Test Services division, providing services for the Vodafone Group.

New recruit Dario Rivas worked as a software development engineer, while Wan Azhar Wan Khalil joins from Intel Products.
