UK Screen Association, the trade body that represents the TV and Film services market, has published the names of the candidates that will stand in this year's Board Elections.

Eleven managers and executives are hoping to get enough votes to take their place on the board from September.

UK Screen companies each get one vote to determine which six candidates will be successful.

The full list is:

  • Colin Brown, British film commissioner, UK film council

  • Dave Cadle, founder and managing director, Envy

  • Sara Hill, post production executive, Blue

  • Peter Joly, managing director, Aquarium studios

  • Huw Penallt Jones, managing director, De Lane Lea

  • Simon Kanjee, managing director, Evolutions

  • Mike Kelt, managing director, Artem

  • Lesley Mcmahon-Hathway, director BBC Post Production

  • Lawrie Read, managing director, Hireworks

  • Terry Smith, business development manager, Silverglade Post

  • Dennis Weinreich, managing director of group post-production, the Pinewood Group

"The broadcast and film industry is changing and changing fast,” said UK Screen chief executive Gaynor Davenport. “To stay relevant and be successful we must continue to have strong strategic leadership at the very heart of the association. We are extremely fortunate to have such an impressive group of candidates standing for election this year"

The six new directors will join the eight directors remaining in situ. These are: Paul Bennett (ITV Productions), Joce Capper (Rushes), Julian Day (DGP), Ivan Dunleavy (The Pinewood Group), Mark Foligno (Molinare), Alex Hope (Double Negative), Bryn Roberts (Barcud Derwen) and Steve Smith (Panalux).

Mike Luckwell continues in the role of chairman and Gaynor Davenport remains as chief executive.

The new board will have the right to co-opt further directors to meet any shortfall in representation.

The closing date for membership votes is Friday 29 August 2008 with election result announced on Monday 1 September 2008.
