The Pope will be captured in High Dynamic Range (HDR) next month after Vatican Television Centre (Centro Televisivo Vaticano) upgraded its live production equipment.

Sony-HDC-4300

The investment includes a Vatican Television Centre OB truck equipped with eight Sony HDC-4300 cameras (pictured), a 4K PWS-4400 server and a 4K MVS-7000X switcher. The organisation will be using the new equipment for the first time on 8 December to film the Ceremony of the Holy Door at St Peter’s Basilica in Rome in 4K with HDR.
