WRN Broadcast has opened a data centre at its Vauxhall playout facility.

It will offer broadcast companies and telco businesses rack space and has access to more than 3,000 PoPs worldwide.

IPWorldTV and consultancy firm Farncombe has signed contracts to use the service.

Farncombe managing partner Gary Marshall said: “We selected WRN Broadcast’s new broadcast data centre due to the top class connectivity and proximity to many of our clients - this is complemented by a great level of service from the WRN Broadcast team.”

WRN Broadcast managing director David Treadway said: “We built the data centre with broadcasters in mind and we’re excited to provide a unique offering that has interest from around the world.”
