Broadcast design firm XTV is joining Soho 601 and will be known as XTV at 601, writes Barbara Marshall.

The 11-strong team will move to Soho 601's Dean Street site at the beginning of next month. There are no redundancies and XTV managing director Mike Parry will continue to head up the team which will have its own floor, working alongside 601's 8-strong CGI team.

Parry said: 'This is a very attractive proposition for our clients as it will give them design with an established high-end facility. Soho 601 can offer fantastic 24-hour support, which for a small design company is invaluable.'

It is expected that the move will produce considerable savings for the firm, which is currently based over four floors in Wardour Street. However, a spokeswoman could not confirm this, saying the main factor for moving the teams closer together was to create a 'creative concentration of talent'.

XTV's clients include Channel 4, BBC, BSkyB and Channel 5, for which it post-produced the titles for the documentary series Kings and Queens.
