Satellite operator Eutelsat is to buy the Stellat 5 satellite from France Telecom for around 3180m (£115m). The sale is part of France Telecom's policy of focusing on its core business of telecommunications services. Stellat 5 was launched on 5 July and will take over the distribution of French TV channels currently delivered by France Telecom's older satellite Telecom 2C as well as provide extra capacity for Eutelsat in its core markets
