Smoke & Mirrors head of 3D Lee Danskin has joined the Moving Picture Company (MPC) as deputy creative head, writes Barbara Marshall.

According to MPC, the new role has been created as a result of an increase in the amount of work going through the 3D department. Danskin will concentrate on commercials and other broadcast work but film work is also up as a result of projects such as the second Harry Potter movie The Chamber of Secrets.

Director of 3D Dominic Buttimore said: 'Our 3D studio is going from strength to strength and our success has been reflected in the recent expansion. Lee will add a new dimension.'

Danskin joins after four years at S&M. Before that, he spent two years at VTR Film Factory and six years at Alias Wavefront. His recent credits include the Jimi Hendrix-inspired Audi commercial directed by Daniel Kleinman for agency BBH and the Chemical Brothers' promo The Test directed by Dom and Nic at the Oil Factory.
