Broadcast selects a handful of broadcaster Vines, following Twitter’s decision to close the short-form service.

Since its launch in 2013 broadcasters and formats adopted the video-sharing service to help market their shows and engage with audiences, with various degrees of success.

Here is a selection of some of the more memorable Vines from the last three years.

ITV reguarly used Vine to highlight some of the more interesting performances on The X Factor.

Channel 4’s Humans preview in 2015 generated more than 80,000 loops.

Some of the stranger moments of Big Brother UK on Channel 5 in 2015 were popular with vine viewers.

BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing Vine featuring Lady Gaga generated hundreds of thousands of views in 2014.

E4’s Made in Chelsea was heavily promoted on Vine by the channel.

And finally…children stealing the limelight on morning television was always popular with Vine fans.
