TV and film recruitment website Production Wizard has launched with the aim of signing up 100,000 users.

The website, which is designed to give production teams access to crew, counts production giants Kudos, RDF and Darlow Smithson among its corporate users.

“The idea is to make it faster for companies to make buying decisions when faced with a choice of suppliers, with job history playing a part alongside their specific skills and experience,” said managing director Emma Hardcastle.

For last week’s launch, several new features were added to the website, which has been in beta for the past two years. Users can now pay an annual fee to upgrade their basic profile to embed a showreel and ‘nudge’ production companies they want to work with.

Companies can also add users to their network, so everyone in a production team can access the same information, job history, notes and profiles.
