ChyronHego has signed a licensing agreement with applied research institution Fraunhofer IIS.
The deal will allow ChyronHego to sell Fraunhofer’s Fifa-licensed GoalRef system - for measuring whether a goal has been scored. The Fraunhofer system uses a magnetic field within the goal and a bladder inside the balls to determine whether a ball has crossed the line.
