Dramas such as House Of Cards and Mad Men accounted for 30% of all illegal downloads in the 12 months to August 2015.
Research by digital platform security company Irdeto found that 26% were adventure titles such as Black Sails and 23% were crime titles. Action titles accounted for 10%, comedies 9% and animated shows 2%. Horror, reality and gameshows combined made up less than 1% of illegally downloaded shows in the period.
