Envy picked up the award for Best Post Production House at this evening’s Broadcast Awards.

The London post facility fought off competition from rival firms to collect the prize for a fourth time.

Bristol-based Films at 59 was highly commended, while the other finalists included last year’s winner Molinare TV & Film, 2011 winner Clear Cut Pictures, Platform Post Production and Splice TV.

This judges gave the award to the post house which they felt had provided outstanding service, shown the ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines and provided creative solutions for programme makes.

One of the judges acknowledged Envy’s ability to provide the right mix of “a creative, supportive environment” together with an ability to “demystify technology and make it work for the producer”.

Another referred to the facility’s “impressive body of work”.

Over the past year, Envy has provided post for programmes including Top Gear, Absolutely Fabulous, Coppers, The Snowman and the Snowdog and The Kidnap Diaries.

Off-screen, the facility opened its fifth central London office, taking the number of offline suites it operates to more than 100.
