FORscene developer Forbidden Technologies’ sales for the 12 months to December 2012 were up 74% on the previous year.

Turnover rose from £466,674 to £812,744, while gross profit increased by 63% to £680,514.

Overall, the company made a net loss of £216,715, which was £30,497 more than in 2011.

The company attributed the rising deficit to increased investment in R&D, marketing and sales.

Forbidden Technologies chairman Vic Steel said: “Sales in [broadcast post-production] grew by 61% in 2012 over the previous year, with an average of 69 productions using FORscene each month between September and December 2012.

“Our ambition over time is to extend our international penetration of this sector.”
