Brief Audio, online and grade on a observational documentary, made in partnership with The Open University, that tells the poignant story of a man contemplating ending his life at a suicide clinic.
How it was done Online editor Laura Hewitt completed the ‘tricky’ graphics elements in Avid Symphony.
Although the captions work was straight forward she has to entirely re build a Skype chat interface by compositing bits and pieces of footage together and creating her own graphical ‘speech bubbles’ that would pop up.
This allowed the producers to pick and choose the excerpts of conversations and the timing of when they appeared on screen.
Senior dubbing mixer Matt Skilton completed the audio, with footage of the voice-over recording session included in the final film. The show was graded by Peter Lynch.
