Kaltura has secured $50m (£38m) in pre-IPO funding from Goldman Sachs’ Private Capital Investing group.

The video technology company said that it will use the additional cash to “extend its footprint across all six continents, and to further its unique positioning as the ‘Everything Video’ company”.

Holger Staude, vice-president of the Private Capital Investing group, will join Kaltura’s board.

The investment brings the total amount of funding raised by Kaltura since its inception in 2006 to approximately $160m (£120m).
