Technicolor reinstates 16mm services

Technicolor Creative Services has reinstated its 16mm film colour negative processing services at Pinewood Studios.

The company has added a third processing machine and upgraded one of the three to dual gauge so that it can run both 16mm and 35mm.

This service had been unavailable since January following Technicolor’s move to a new lab.

Matt Adams, director of sales, said: “When we built our new film laboratory at Pinewood we purchased two brand new film processing machines. These were prioritised as 35mm due to the high demand for 35mm during the March to August shooting period. We are now very excited to offer the retuning service to our feature, broadcast and commercials clients.”

Technicolor provides a full service film laboratory and digital dailies facility at Pinewood. It has three negative processing baths and four Spirit HD telecine machines for dailies transfers.
