Former Clear Cut Pictures managing director Max McGonigal has joined the management team of Forscene, Forbidden Technologies’ cloud-based editing platform.

McGonigal has taken on the role of European sales manager and will be based at Forscene’s London office.

He previously worked at Clear Cut Pictures, which he joined as managing director towards the end of 2014.

Prior to his role at Clear Cut McGonigal held the position of managing director at Crow for three years. Before joining Crow, he worked in programming and international reversioning for Discovery Communications.

Clear Cut Pictures has appointed former interim director of post-production at The London Studios Lesley McMahon-Hathway as chief executive. She previously held the position of director of post-production at BBC Resources.

McGonigal’s recruitment by Forbidden coincides with two other appointments: media consultant Sal de Parres is Forscene’s new international sales manager and Richie Murray, who owns and runs US reseller Bridge Digital has taken on the role of American director of sales.

De Parres will be based at the company’s London HQ.

All three of the Forscene positions are newly created roles.

“Forscene has already seen significant growth across key territories and sectors in 2016,” said Jason Cowan, director of business development at Forbidden.

“The experience and capabilities that these new team members provide will help the Forscene team to accelerate our market penetration in Europe and the Americas going forward.”
