422 South has provided graphics and content for Granada's show The Human Chimp, part of the Unsolved Mysteries strand on Five. The programme uses archive footage to speculate about a human/chimp hybrid species and whether such a species is already in existence. 422 designer Will Skinner created the titles, which shows glimpses of a chimp head partly hidden by strands of CGI DNA. A model of a chimp-like head made by modelmakers Cod Steaks was shot in a studio, while 422 CGI animator Andrew Wheeler did content graphics including a 3D model of a human/chimp fetus in the womb. Produced and directed by Graeme Thomson, the show airs on Five this Friday.
