422 South has appointed a head of digital at it looks to expand its CG and VFX services to include work for the web, mobile and interactive.


Ben Risk joins from Mentor Digital where he was head of business development. He will run 422 South’s new Digital Media division.

In his new role he is being tasked with helping the company to take its broadcast experience and apply it to new digital opportunities.

Creative director Andy Davies-Coward said: “We especially want to work with the same producers that we help now with linear CGI, animation, and visual FX.  But we want that relationship to expand, under Ben’s direction, to include content for multiplatform delivery.

Mentor Digital specialised in creating UGC apps for broadcasters.
