The Bafta Craft Awards have a battle royale on their hands as the BBC/A&E's Charles II: The Power and the Passion comes head to head with Talkback/BBC's The Lost Prince in three of each of their five nominations.

The contested awards are for Production Design; Make Up and Hair Design, along with fellow nominees Dead Ringers and Little Britain ; and Photography and Lighting Fiction.

The Lost Prince , which stars Miranda Richardson and Michael Gambon, and Charles II: The Power and the Passion are not the only productions up for multiple honours. Wall to Wall's Ancient Egyptians: The Battle of Megiddo, Endor Production's State of Play and Perpetual Motion's Cambridge Spies have all received four nominations each.

Wall to Wall has the opportunity to dominate the factual accolades that are up for grabs; Ancient Egyptians and George Orwell: A Life in Pictures have received seven nominations between them.

The awards will be held on 16 May at The Dorchester, London.
