Two more awards for television work have been put on the Aardman mantelpiece - joining its Oscars - after winning over the short film festival's judges with its BBC3 The Blobs idents and Creature Comforts animation.

Stefan Marjoman's BBC3 The Blobs was awarded Quantel's title sequences and idents award, beating off Sean de Sparengo at design agency Devilfish for Five's Science on Five idents and David Obadiah at Voodoodog for the title sequence of The Life and Death of Peter Sellers.

Richard Goleszowski picked up the second award for the Bristol-based animation house with Cats and Dogs. The Creature Comforts submission beat work from Blackwatch and South West Screen to secure the Discreet animation award.

Fredrik Bond of Coded Pictures, MJZ and Freuster Films won the short film award for The Mood.

The Streets' Fit But You Know It, directed by Dougal Wilson of Colonel Blimp, won the music video award. Director Harry Wootliff of White Leaf Films bagged the Polaroid newcomer award for his short film Nits.
