Visual effects house Absolute has outsourced the production IT requirements for its Poland Street office to ERA’s hosted services.

Through its data centre, ERA will provide PixitMedia PixStor storage, workstations, rendering and Cisco networking.

It will also assume responsibility for secure and reliable connectivity and performance, providing remote access to hardware via a direct dark-fibre connection.

Absolute hopes the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) deal will save it money and provide “almost instant scalability and the ability to offer clients more services”.
