Outside Broadcast company ADI has built itself a£700,000 truck in an effort to win a wider variety of broadcast work, writes Sam Espensen.

The Preston-based company, which has concentrated on football broadcasting and live events for the past four years, hopes the new Digital12 will be used for different broadcast programming, in particular Light Entertainment (LE).

The truck was built in-house and can accommodate 17 crew members in four zones - production, sound, vision and VTR. Paul Thompson, senior project manager says the brief for the build was to build a vehicle that was "quickly configurable to suit totally different production needs".

The 12-camera truck can be used to play-n separate VT pieces for events and LE.
