Adobe is to focus its efforts on its Creative Cloud (CC) offering and has no plans to release more versions of its Creative Suite (CS) products.

The apps that were previously known as CS will now be branded CC and will be available via a subscription model as the tech firm pulls away from the packaged software market.

Creative Cloud was launched in April last year.

In March, Adobe chief executive Shantanu Naraven said Adobe expected to grow its Creative Cloud subscription base from 500,000 subscribers to 1.25 million paid subs by the end of the year.
