NAB 2012: The first public demonstration of Adobe’s Creative Suite 6 Production Premium will take place at this year’s NAB.

Two new tools have been added to the software suite; Adobe SpeedGrade CS6 for grading and Adobe Prelude CS6 for the ingest, logging and transcoding of content.

The rest of the software packages have had “significant updates” with new versions of Premiere Pro, After Effects (pictured), Audition, Story, Media Encoder and Photoshop.

Adobe said the “huge performance gains and powerful 3D features” of After Effects CS6 made it “the biggest release in a decade”.

Premiere Pro CS6 has a new user interface, trimming and OpenCL support in the new Mercury Playback Engine.

“With the upcoming release of Creative Suite 6 Production Premium Adobe is redefining the content creation workflow,” said Adobe Video Solutions vice president and general manager Jim Guerard.

Creative Suite 6 Production Premium is expected to be released by June this year.
