Altered Images has been appointed as the UK reseller for iCR, the content repurposing product from Snell and Wilcox.

The iCR is designed to work for content creators - including production companies and broadcasters - who make their video and audio available on more than one platform.

To do this, the iCR automates the creation of digital masters and proxies - as well as adding metadata - from both SD and HD sources.

Built-in quality control tools verify both base-band and file based content.

Acknowledging the decision to pick Altered Images as a reseller David Dowling, channel manager at Snell and Wilcox, said: “We feel [Altered Images] have the best technical expertise to be able to deliver this exciting new product.

“Their track record is of providing a complete service - and that ability to anticipate the complex demands of production companies is key to the success of iCR in the UK and we look forward to working with them”

Snell and Wilcox is exhibiting at Broadcast Live and Video Forum.
