Amberfin has concluded an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) agreement that will see Digital Visions’ DVO image-processing software tools added to its softwarebased iCR Standards Converter.

The deal will result in the creation of products that have a wider range of temporal, spatial, codec and wrapper conversion tools, regardless of format.

AmberFin chief technology officer Bruce Devlin said the agreement will create “a best of the best combination for file-based standards conversion”.

The company has also launched iCR Smart Ingest, which combines HD and SD ingest with automatic assisted quality control.

It has been designed for broadcasters and facilities that are adding tape-based content to IT workflows.

Devlin said: “It is advisable to perform QC as early as possible, ideally on Ingest. This reduces the cost of detecting and correcting problems in content as it moves though a facility.”

Digital Vision (booth SL3709) and AmberFin (booth SU4917) will both be at NAB next week.
