Arena TV has been awarded a two-year contract to provide outside broadcast facilities for ITV Sport’s coverage of the Champions League and England football Internationals.

The deal covers home and away fixtures in the Champions League and home and away friendly matches and Euro 2012 qualifiers for the national team.

In total Arena TV will work on around 30 ITV games per season.

Outside broadcast services for the matches was previously supplied by 021 and SIS LIVE.

Arena chairman Richard Yeowart said: “This is obviously a highly prestigious contract, with viewing figures sometimes pushing the 10 million mark.”

Yeowart was unable to comment on the reasons for the change of supplier or to put a value on the contract.
