What does it do? It bypasses in-camera compression to record uncompressed 10-bit images straight from the HDMI connector of a DSLR or camcorder directly to the Apple Pro Res codec.

How does it work? The Ninja sits on or near the camera or camera operator. It records to swappable 2.5-inch laptop hard disks or solid-state drives that are housed securely inside a ‘Master Caddy’ that locks inside the Ninja. It has a small LCD touch screen for control and viewing rushes. It will be available in December for less than £700.
