Avid's main thrust for Broadcast Live and Video Forum is not new product launches but communication with customers.

The editing and effects company is putting on a number of presentations and its emphasis is on the practicalities of integrating the latest Avid kit in combination with other edit technologies.

Says Avid UK post sales manager Sean Bradley: “The focus will be on getting information out about working with different formats and problem solving. A big part of the stand is dedicated to that, with half-hour sessions - repeated twice a day.”

“We will have Envy Post Production talking about workflow on The Restaurant, Pepper Post's Shane Warden talking about Hotel Babylon, shot on HDCAM with Sony HDW-750P camcorders and posted on Avid DS Nitris, plus presentations by Digidesign on Robin Hood and EVS on Big Brother 8.”
