Members of UK Screen are being offered a three-day ‘introduction to Avid' course put on by training company 01Zero-One at a discounted rate of£300.

It will teach basic elements of the programme such as capturing media, rough editing, editing techniques, syncing, media management and audio mixing amongst other things.

Introduction to Avid is taught by editor Jonathan Miles. His recent jobs include Nazi Secrets, the BBC drama-documentary about the Nuremberg trials.

01zero-one, in the heart of Soho, provides training and skills development across the converging sectors of London's audio visual and interactive digital media industries.

It puts on short courses and master classes in film, TV, interactive and digital media addressing developments in technology, creative content and business management.
