The BBC has scooped the lion's share of nominations for this year's RTS Craft and Design Awards, taking 40 of the 72 nominations.

Charles II and The Long Firm have both picked up four nominations each. They come head to head in both Sound and Costume Design, with additional competition from The Mayor of Casterbridge (ITV1) and Byron (BBC2) respectively.

Little Britain is lined up for three gongs, including Costume Design and Make-Up Design, Entertainment and Non Drama Productions for producing Matt Lucas and David Walliams' characters, such as Lou and Andy and schoolgirl ?yeah but no' Vicky Pollard.

The awards, which focus on the post and production members of the industry, will be announced on 30 November.
