BBC Broadcast is setting BBC2 free in a new campaign pushing the channel's comedy offering. Comedy stars such as Stephen Fry, John Bird and Catherine Tate figure in the idents showing the BBC2 logo roaming free. The first sketches will include the cast of satirical BBC2 comedy Absolute Powersearching a dogs' home for a pet to soften up the image of Tony Blair. Neal Scanlon Studios produced the 2 logo puppet. BBC Broadcast executive creative director Charlie Mawer wrote the ident scripts. Post-production was completed at Clear. The campaign launches from 11 July across TV, radio and online.
