Breathe Post Production, the post facility formed by the merger of Strongroom and Air Studios, has spent£350,000 updating and upgrading its Hampstead dubbing theatre.

The audio console has been upgraded from an AMS Logic 2 to a 48 fader AMS DFC Gemini (Digital Film Console).

Major building work has also taken place to create a larger control room that now incorporates more furniture and enhanced acoustics.

The new DFC Gemini console features MADI integration allowing it to work with any number of audio workstations, including Pro Tools HD. This enables massive track counts to be mixed to multiple simultaneous stems at 96K sample rates.

The Gemini Digital Film Console will be used for drama and feature film work. It will be driven by dubbing mixers Pip Norton and Paul Langwade.

Breathe Post Production is currently providing full post services on three HD drama biopics in a four-part series for BBC4 about great British entertainers. Acts featured in the series include Hughie Green, Tony Hancock and Frankie Howerd.
