BBC Studios has doubled its FAST channels offering on German streamer Joyn, bringing the total to four.

After the FAST channels BBC Series and BBC History launched on the ad-supported platform in November last year, Joyn has now added BBC Earth and BBC Lifestyle to the platform.

BBC Earth features natural history productions and investigative documentaries, such as Attenborough: 60 Years in the Wild and Tribe with Bruce Parry. BBC Lifestyle offers feel-good entertainment, food, travel and lifestyle programming including The Great British Sewing Bee and Rick Stein’s Far Eastern Odyssey.

Joyn, which is operated by media giant ProSiebenSat.1 and is the largest private German-language streaming service, now offers its more than 10m monthly viewers access to a mix of BBCS’ entertainment, drama, history, travel, lifestyle, food and natural history programmes.

BBCS director of digital and on demand EMEA Kasia Jablonska said: “We’re delighted to build on our strong relationship with Joyn to be able to bring two more channels to their customers across Germany.

“This means we can offer even more moments that thrill, inspire and entertain audiences whenever and wherever people want to watch.”

BBC Studios currently supplies more than 160 FAST channel feeds in 42 countries as part of more than 15 client partnerships in EMEA.
