East of Eden and Severance firm Fifth Season has restructured its TV division and confirmed the appointment of former Keshet Studios chief Peter Traugott as its president.

Traugott, who departed US-based Keshet Studios earlier this year, reports to chief exec Graham Taylor in his new role, while Noah Greenshner and Maggie Burkhead have both been promoted.

Greenshner becomes executive vice president and head of TV creative, overseeing all creative aspects of the division and reporting to Traugott, while Burkhead is now senior vice president of TV development and production.

The duo, alongside Traugott, will work with the wider Fifth Season television team to expand its slate, which includes Netflix’s upcoming adaptation of East of Eden, the streamer’s His & Hers from Will Oldroyd and Bill Dubuque, and Severance.

The latter was recently sold to Apple TV’s in-house production division, although Fifth Season remains an exec producer on the series.

Traugott previously spent more than a decade leading Keshet Studios, the US division of Israel’s Keshet International, and oversaw shows such as Our Boys for HBO, La Brea for NBC, and A Small Light for Hulu.

Taylor said the rejig would add “even more momentum” to his TV division.

“Peter has been a force in the business for years. He’s got a rare combination of creative taste and business sense, which can be a gamechanger in a studio’s growth, and the body of work to prove it.

“As for Noah and Maggie, we’re of course deeply acquainted with their quality. They’ve been key figures in making Fifth Season what it is today, and their new roles will empower them to do even more great work. It’s a big moment for us, and we can’t wait to build the next wave of globally successful series.”

Traugott added: “With the company’s global production infrastructure, the top-tier creator relationships they’ve cultivated, and a development slate that’s stacked with premium IP, we’re in a great spot to continue to build on the group’s success and bring to life stories that is are both culturally and commercially impactful.”

The reorganisation comes six months since Fifth Season co-chief exec Chris Rice revealed he was stepping down from the company.

Rice opted not to extend his contract at the CJ ENM-owned producer and distributor and departed at the end of 2025, with Taylor taking sole charge.
