Former home of Strictly Come Dancing – It Takes Two and The Xtra Factor Live to begin operating with full 4K workflow in August 2023 following Celebro acquisition
Celebro has acquired the lease of the former Hclub Studio in Covent Garden. The 11,500 square foot studio facility closed in 2019 as part of redevelopment of the upper floors of the building.
During its years of operation as the Hospital Club, the studio played host to a number of high-profile light entertainment shows such as Strictly Come Dancing – It Takes Two, Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back, Vic And Bob’s Big Night Out, Eurotrash, Top Gear Extra Gear and The Xtra Factor Live.
The facility has undergone extensive renovations and will be further upgraded to allow for full 4K workflows. Celebro has also undertaken to build a smaller studio within the footprint to allow for smaller streaming shows and podcasts.
Celebro, working in partnership with local groups, will be running various community engagement programmes to allow young people from the borough to get a start in the TV industry. Celebro will also be making days available in the studios for community and charity projects.
Celebro says the facility will be operational in late August 2023.
