Football.com TV aims to build on following gained by its live score service

Football.com has launched a 24/7 football news YouTube channel.
The channel, which is now available here, won’t have ad breaks nor conventional programming restrictions, with presenters and contributors across different countries and time zones taking over as the football agenda moves with them.
This effort has seen the channel gather 150 voices from five continents, including Jofre Mateu (former FC Barcelona player), Warren Barton (former Newcastle player), Sebas Beron, and Charlie Carrillo, with the presentation team to ”constantly evolve”. Programming will run in live blocks throughout the day, with hosts joined by rotating groups of pundits and creators to discuss football news, hold live watchalongs and interview guests.
Live chat, comments, polls and audience reactions will feed directly into programmes, with presenters responding to the interactive features in real time. Community members will also regularly join programmes to debate alongside the hosts.
Football.com TV is an extension of scores platform Sporty Media-owned Football.com, which has 500,000 followers across its social media accounts and recently launched its LiveScore app, which is unrelated to the LiveScore company that also runs a scores app, on Android. A dedicated social team will turn the channel into content for those social media followers. Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has been named as an ambassador for the channel.
Elías Gallego, VP of media, marketing and business development at Sporty Group, said: “Football is global, but traditional football media is still largely built around individual countries, standalone shows and fixed schedules. We think there is another way. A better way.
“Football.com TV starts with a very simple idea: the conversation about football never stops. When Europe and Africa go to sleep, millions of fans elsewhere are waking up. When one match finishes, another story is beginning. We’ve built a home where that conversation can live continuously, with brilliant people from around the world and with the audience genuinely part of it.”
