Prime Video has commissioned a four-part docuseries chronicling Pep Guardiola’s final two seasons as Manchester City manager

Prime Video is to stream a four-part docuseries following Pep Guardiola’s final two seasons as Manchester City.

The as yet untitled series offers an intimate look inside the club as Guardiola calls time on his tenure in Manchester after wining six Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, three FA Cups and five EFL Cups.

The documentary follows City through a disappointing 2024/25 season to a domestic double, with unfiltered access to Guardiola, his players and the City boardroom, says Prime Video.

The series opens as City’s record-breaking run of 26 games unbeaten comes to a shuddering halt, with a string of defeats in late 2024.

Focus then shifts to the boardroom as the club initiates a major rebuild, with Kevin De Bruyne’s departure and the arrival of new talent.

Gradually, a new look squad rediscovers its identity. The series culminates with the climax of the 2025/26 season, a pivotal clash with Arsenal, the FA Cup Final, and Pep’s farewell.

The series is directed by Academy and BAFTA award-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald alongside City Studios’ John De Caux. It’s produced by Kevin Macdonald for Plan B/KM Films, and Gavin Johnson and Ged Doherty for City Studios.
